China Launches New Communications Satellite

China Launches New Communications Satellite. China Successfully Launches ChinaSat-3B Communications Satellite
Beijing, May 20 (NQA) – China launched the ChinaSat-3B communications satellite into orbit today from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in southern Hainan Province.
The satellite lifted off at 7:50 p.m. Beijing time aboard a Long March-7A carrier rocket and successfully reached its designated orbit. ChinaSat-3B will provide voice, data, radio, and television broadcasting services.
This marks the 577th mission in the Long March rocket series.
The launch follows a series of recent space activities by China, including the deployment of four satellites yesterday aboard a Ceres-1 rocket and the launch of six more satellites the day before using a commercial rocket—part of the country’s ongoing efforts to expand its space-based communication and internet infrastructure.
