Qatar Chamber Discusses Trade and Investment Cooperation with Polish Delegation

Doha, May 20 (NQA) – Qatar Chamber held discussions today with a visiting Polish delegation to explore avenues for strengthening trade cooperation, investment opportunities, and institutional ties between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba, Second Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber; H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani; H.E. Tomasz Szadzinski, Polish Ambassador to Qatar; Mr. Piotr Maczuk, Chairman of the Polish State Development Fund; and a number of Qatari businessmen.
Al Athba praised the strong bilateral relations, noting that the volume of trade between Qatar and Poland reached approximately QAR 4.2 billion in 2024, with Qatari exports—mainly petroleum gases and hydrocarbons—accounting for QAR 3.4 billion, and imports from Poland totaling around QAR 780 million.
He emphasized the importance of activating the 2011 Memorandum of Understanding and the joint agreement between Qatar Chamber and the Polish Chamber of Commerce. This includes revitalizing the Qatari-Polish Joint Business Council to enhance cooperation and promote the establishment of mutually beneficial trade and investment projects.
Al Athba also called for increased information exchange on commercial regulations, reciprocal business visits, and organizing exhibitions to showcase products and investment opportunities in both countries.
Mr. Piotr Maczuk expressed interest in forming partnerships with Qatari firms, highlighting that the Polish delegation includes representatives from key sectors such as energy, IT, transportation, and logistics.
H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani affirmed Qatari investors’ interest in exploring the Polish market, while Ambassador Szadzinski described Qatar-Poland relations as “distinguished,” particularly in trade and economic collaboration.
